So I'm wondering what kind of drives I could use, I know the raid card is a SmartArray E200i, but I'm not sure what kind of drives to use I've seen some iffy things about you could use Sata 2 but not Sata 3 drives etc. Find all the cheap, reliable and refurbished HP ProLiant. ProLiant is a brand of server computers that was originally developed and marketed by Compaq. The G5's have different drive bay and controller connections than the G6 systems, so I would not lump the D元60 G5 and D元60 G6 together.
#Hp dl360 g6 storage compatibility upgrade
The ProLiant G9 platform delivers even better performance than previous generations with an upgrade to DDR4 memory, 12G storage and expansive I/O features tucked away in a compact 1U rack space. You're dealing with two generations of system, though. A refurbished HP ProLiant D元60 Gen9 Server from Bargain Hardware offers you a newer generation high performance 1U server at up to 70 off RRP. I've got a D元60 G5 from HP and right now it doesn't have very much storage, only around 485GB because of there raid controller. From complete systems to maintenance and upgrading, Bargain Hardware have you covered for everything. The G5 models may have PCIe cards (Smart Array P400 is most common), but the G6 systems should have Smart Array P410 models embedded on the motherboard.
